How Do I Get A CSGO Rank?
Not every CSGO player has a rank tied to their account. In fact, all of the new players have to first complete a series of placement matches over a period of time, in order to get their first rank. Every new account (or a player who loses his rank for whatever reason) will have to play a number of matches with other unranked players, which will determine his initial standing in the ranking system. Only your wins in the placement matches will mater, so you can safely practice in unranked matches.

The way the system works is that if you play CSGO placement matches without any ranks, you will be able to only complete two of them, no matter if you win or lose. The win-loss ratio in the process will be used to calculate your initial rank in the game. After you complete your two competitive games a day, your progress will be logged towards your first ranks, and you can continue to play the game, the matches that you complete simply won’t count towards your ranking system placement. This means that any additional wins you score after your two games every day won’t count toward the rank you get.
